The Baptist

The breath-taking former chapel is home to the Baptist Grill, meticulously restored to reveal one of the most iconic restaurant venues in the capital, with stylishly-attired staff and an exhilarating dining experience all under the expert guidance of renowned Executive Chef Tony Fleming.

Tony Fleming

Executive Chef at L'oscar, Tony Fleming, began his career working locally in his hometown of Cambridge. In 1995, he moved to London where he worked for Richard Neat and Marco Pierre White before becoming Head Chef at Sir Terence Conran's Great Eastern Hotel and taking up his first Executive Chef role at One Aldwych.

Most recently, Tony was the opening chef for D&D London's South Place Hotel where he gained a Michelin Star for the Angler restaurant within the first twelve months of opening. He held his accolade each year before leaving to take up his current role with us at L'oscar.

Temptations don’t come greater than a seat in our grade II listed restaurant, lovingly and painstakingly restored in this grand octagonal double-height chapel, where chef Tony Fleming will preach the gospel for seasonal British ingredients.

The Baptist Grill is already set to become a great London destination. Synonymous with food created with a flourish, it will bring lightness and creativity to the traditional grill, with a classic table-side Gueridon service that promises to bring a sense of the theatre to this remarkable dining room.
